Meet The Doctor

Richard W. Stevens, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Stevens received his undergraduate degree from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1985. He graduated from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dental School, University of Maryland, in 1989 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy and remained on active-duty until July 2010. In 1995, Dr. Stevens entered into a one year Advanced Clinical Program, General Dentistry, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Stevens received his Specialty Certificate in Endodontics upon graduation from the Naval Post graduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2002. His research efforts during residency were recognized with the Outstanding Achievement in Dental Research Award from the International College of Dentists. Dr. Stevens also holds a Masters Degree in Health Sciences from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Dr. Stevens has served as the Command Specialty Consultant for Endodontics, while assigned to 2D Dental Battalion on Camp Lejeune, and has been a guest lecturer at the Naval Post graduate Dental School. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He entered into private practice upon retiring from the Navy with twenty one years of active-duty service.
